Prepped at both Lehi and Timpview high schools ... earned all-state and all-region honors at Timpview as a senior ... led Timpview to a 11-1 record and a region championship ... named the NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year following his sophomore season at Snow College ... earned NJCAA All-America honors ... named a Gridwire All-American following his sophomore season ... named the Western States Football League Offensive Player of the Year ... led the nation in passing ... 2007 Junior Year[]

Competing for the starting quarterback position during spring camp. Cooper suffered a season ending injury during spring camp and was unable to compete for the season. Cooper transfered from BYU soon after.
