Hurt knee on opening series of the spring game but bounced back missing only one game...did not play in New Mexico game because of knee surgery from an injury in the Hawai'i game...did not play the second half in Hawai'i...was selected as the ESPN-Casio Scholar Athlete during the Wyoming game...selected ESPN Most Valuable Athlete during the Wyoming game...selected ESPN Most Valuable Player during the Texas game...was Academic All-WAC and honorable mention All-WAC by the media...missed the second half of the Wyoming game because of a concussion...had a great first quarter against UTEP when he completed nine of 18 passes for 181 yards and one TD...best statistical game was TCU when he completed 30 of 47 for two TDs and 490 yards...his 3.88 GPA was still the highest on the team...had major knee surgery at the end of the season...was 20th in the nation in total offense with 2,525 (229.55 per game)...finished 22nd in passing efficiency at 130.4...completed 174 of 319 passes (54.5%) for 13 touchdowns...added four touchdowns rushing...threw an 80-yard pass to Bryce Domanin 47-6 rout over Texas...had 361 yards on 22 of 45 against UTEP...went 22 of 32 (359 yards) against Utah State.
